Sunny Sailaway 2006

WHAT A BLAST! Sailing on Carnival is always fun. Hangin' out with the best listeners in the world totally rocks! I can't tell you much about the cruise because "What happens on the boat, stays on the boat", but I can tell you that we had a great time. We ate way too much, stayed up too late, laughed a lot and danced our tails off. Steven proposed marriage to Christi, Becky and Ronny celebrated their wedding anniversary and I became acquainted with Dramamine.

The John Thomas Experience

What can I say about Li'l John Thomas other than he is the cutest thing you have ever seen. This kid does a mean rendition of Johnny Cash's "Ring of Fire". All you have to do is ask him to sing it for you and he will. His parents are the best. Recently his Dad, Jody, dropped by to see me at the studio and we recorded him singing. We had been planning this for a while and the day he arrived in the studio for his first big recording session, he had a sore throat. We made it through though.

HEE HAW...continued from last entry.

So, what did I see that made you have to wait for the next blog? Well, as a kid my Grandparents and I would watch HEE HAW and they (the folks on the TV show, not my Grandparents) would wear these really cool Hee Haw coveralls. Man, I thought that they were the coolest things and I wanted a pair. I forgot all about that until I saw this gentleman doing some shopping at Kroger in Longview. Thank you, Sir, for letting me take your picture.

Food Drive at Longview's Kroger

I had a blast at the Kroger in Longview. We went to gather food donations for the East Texas Food Bank. Folks in Longview are so generous. Thanks to all of you for giving to such a great cause. Thank you to the folks that work at Kroger. Beth and Brandy took great care of us. A big THANK YOU to Barbara Biggs who came out to help and keep me out of trouble.

While I was there, I saw the neatest thing.........continued in the next entry. :-)

Dinner On The Mayflower

Well, we didn't eat on the actual ship ....we didn't even eat on the "Mayflower" moving van. We had a wonderful time sharing Thanksgiving Dinner with the best folks in East Texas. Listeners from La Invasora, Sunny, The Ranch and KYKX assembled in Tyler and in Longview to dine on a DELICIOUS Thanksgiving feast catered by Dudley's Cajun Cafe. This is our second time doing this and we will continue ever year. What a great time.
